It may seem like an exaggeration to say that being a webcam girl can change your life. After all, how can something as simple as going online and talking to new people completely affect your day-to-day life? Well, the answer is, massively! Being a cam model gives you the opportunity for financial freedom and to truly be your own boss.
If you still don’t believe us, the team here at Off The Record Models, a webcam model agency, have asked two of our girls to share their amazing stories. Read below to hear about why these webcam models got into the industry and how it changed their lives:
Chastity Rose
“When I joined Off The Record Models, I was having to use food banks to support myself and my two children as I had a breakdown and left my 9 to 5 job. Waiting for any sort of universal credit to kick in took the best part of two months and I had debt rising each week. I couldn’t pay my rent and I decided that being a webcam girl would be the best route to go down so it slotted in around my routine. I had read a few articles online and read one about one of the girls from OTR and how successful she was so I decided to give it a go.
I spoke to the founder of Off The Record Models and she was so unbelievably helpful – as well as being super understanding about my situation. I’m not a massively high earner as a webcam model, my home life doesn’t leave me with a large amount of time to be a cam model. However, any time I have to myself, I utilise as much as I can and I’m now out of debt. My kids have been able to join sports clubs and it provides me with that bit extra each week to ensure neither the children or myself go without.
Not only has it changed my life financially, it has given an amazing boost to my self-confidence. In fact, it has put the best spark in mine and my partner’s sex life. Life literally has turned a complete 180 in the last 6 months and it’s all thanks to being a webcam model!”

“Being a webcam girl has changed my life in so many ways! Before this I was working anywhere from 9 to 11 hours per day with no breaks. It was far too much work for one person and it drained me. I constantly felt under pressure and it was so dull. Going full time with camming is honestly the best thing that I’ve ever done! It’s given me the flexibility and freedom I’ve always wanted. I’m my own boss and completely in control of my life now! I’m so glad I no longer have to answer to anyone. I don’t have to request holiday or time off work anymore (I always HATED having to do that!) and I’m earning more money than I ever thought I could.
When I first started camming, I was in a fair bit of debt and now I’ve cleared my credit cards. For the first time in my life, I have been able to save and be in a position where I feel financially comfortable. I can treat myself without feeling guilty that it’s courtesy of Lloyds TSB rather than myself! I can go on dream holidays and trips now as well as being able to say YES to whatever plans come my way.
Another huge way camming has helped me is my confidence. I’ve always really struggled with self-esteem and believing in myself, I’ve even seen therapists in the past to help me through it. I was starting to feel much better when I started camming, it has given me such a huge boost! I finally feel comfortable and at peace with who I am and how I look. Camming makes me feel powerful, not just from speaking to guys who love the way you look and tell you so, but as a result of the support from the OTR team and the other camgirls; everyone is so encouraging!
I never expected camming to change my life so much. When I think about how different things were this time last year, I can’t get my head around how much good it’s done for me. I am so pleased I found OTR!”
